Starting from Dec 11, 2024 - 15:17 PST, multiple OpenAI services including ChatGPT, API and Sora failed. Users were unable to connect through various devices, and a connection error message appeared. As of the time of publication, service has not been restored.
From status.openai.com , we can see that OpenAI’s main services ChatGPT and API have experienced serious failures, and the newly released Sora has also been affected. Playground and Labs are currently normal.
OpenAI continues to release progress on the handling of this failure. They have found the cause of the problem, but are still working on it.
